2. What this site does technically

This website is deliberately lean: no tracking , no ad networks, no services from Meta. The fonts are served from our own server, so no connection to Google Fonts is made. The one exception is the embedded Google Maps map — what happens there is described under point 5 below.

3. Server log files

When you visit the site, our host automatically stores technical access data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type, volume of data transferred). The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in technically faultless and secure operation. This data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted after a short time.

4. Enquiries via the contact form

When you submit the enquiry form, your details (name, email address, type of project, preferred date, duration, number of people and your message) are transmitted to our host Netlify, stored there and delivered to us. We process them solely in order to answer your enquiry and handle a possible booking. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You are welcome to send us an informal email or call us instead.

We delete enquiries as soon as they have been dealt with and no statutory retention periods apply. For bookings, commercial and tax retention periods of up to ten years apply.

5. Map (Google Maps)

On the contact section we embed a Google Maps map so you can see where the studio is. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is loaded when you open the page; in doing so Google learns your IP address and may transfer data to the USA. Google may analyse this use and store information on your device or read information from it.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in making the studio easy to find, pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. If you would rather not have this, you can block the map from loading in your browser settings — the address is also given in plain text next to it, and that is all you need to find us. 6. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider. Netlify operates a worldwide delivery network, which means data may also be transferred to the USA. This is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). An informal email to us is sufficient.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.

8. Encryption

The site is delivered over HTTPS, so the data you transmit is protected in transit.
